It doesn’t get much better than a wonderful, easy-going couple, with about 100 of their closest friends and family in a beautiful setting with peacocks and two dogs (one wearing a bow tie) running around with a resident burro.
That was the scene for Larry and Meredith’s lovely wedding at the charming Merry Hill Farm, in Mebane, NC.
We were honored to be there with them to witness their commitment to each other in their intimate ceremony which included a moment of family members surrounding and laying hands on the couple.
That closeness carried on into the reception where there were big laughs and hugs to be seen everywhere.
We wish Larry & Meredith all the best!
Warm, friendly and fun are words that come to mind when thinking about Megan and Thomas. They had a wonderful wedding full of friends and family at The Hayloft in McLeansville, North Carolina during the summer.
Their thoughtful ceremony was held out on a beautiful clearing behind the Hayloft’s barn overlooking miles of rolling hills. Afterwards, throughout the reception, it seemed that everyone, including the DJ, got themselves out on the dance floor at one point or another.
We wish them bundles of happiness as they move forward in their life together!
We had a perfect evening at The American Tobacco Campus for Nikki & Brian’s engagement photo session in April. We had a few ideas in mind for some specific photographs, but we also made time to just stroll around and see what happened spontaneously. That worked out wonderfully. And even though it was a pretty busy evening there because of a Durham Bulls baseball home game and The Art of Cool Music Festival, Brian and Nikki made it a fun shoot and even played around with some of the people walking through who yelled out their “congratulations” to the couple.
The two first met during a Yoruba language summer course in Gainesville, Florida. They started dating just before the summer ended and then Brian returned to North Carolina to continue his anthropology PhD at Duke University. Nikki stayed at the University of Florida to finish her MA in Art History.
Every other weekend they met up in Charleston, Savannah, Beaufort, Atlanta or somewhere else in between NC and FL.
Nikki finished her MA and was accepted into Teach for America in eastern North Carolina where she lives now teaching “6th and 7th grade rockstars!”
Brian will be living in Benin, West Africa for the upcoming year, completing fieldwork for his dissertation.
Their wedding is set for June 21, 2015 in Richmond, Virginia.
It was a treat hanging out with these two and getting to see how easy they are together. We wish them the best as they prepare for their future together!
